Complicated Strangers

Complicated Strangers

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Complicated Strangers is a fun story that is a mix of suspense and romance.
The two main characters meet as part of a secret investigation where neither is fully aware of the other’s involvement. Needless to say, they connect on a deeper level and work together to solve the mystery.
The Author – Ellis Summers – brought together characters from different backgrounds, Miakoda a woman from an Indian Reservation, and Greyson an urbanite. She used their different viewpoints to enhance the story to make it a learning experience for both of them.
The book is written from the perspectives of both Miakoda and Greyson. This is not my favorite format, but Summers pulled it off and you always knew who was narrating each scene.
If you are looking to escape the doldrums or stress of day-to-day life, this is a great book to go find a quiet place and become immersed in the characters and the story.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This is really a story that keeps you guessing! Man oh man…lots of intriguing craziness going around. The storyline is excellent; the characters pretty much entertaining; and the HEA is definitely a winner! There is so much going on from start to finish—you’ll need a score card. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️A thrilling romantic suspense that’ll leave you breathless. Ellis Summers has penned a nonstop addictive read which rivals the big names in thrillers/suspense aka Patterson, Robb, Clark, and more. Action-packed plot, riveting characters, a mystery to unravel, and an unexpected romance between strangers. Trust me when I tell you this is a must-read.

Normally I say it all starts with the world-building but in this case, it starts and ends with the heroine, Miakoda. She’s a woman who is put to the test over and over again. She has a couple of allies but she soon discovers they all betray her but one. Can she trust him? Her strength and courage shine like a beacon. I liked her right away and kept rooting for her.The story itself is well written with a fast plot progression. Ellis Summers foreshadows what’s to come with an expert hand. The action scenes are intense. The stakes are life and death at times. The suspense blends well with the dialogue.

If you’re like me and looking for an unputdownable romantic suspense, you’ll want to read this book. A brilliant book from start to finish. This author is one to keep on your radar.

My Rating: 5+ stars

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Complicated Strangers by Ellis Summers is based on the genre Suspense with a budding romance between Miakoda Nez , a Navajo resident and Cash Greyson , a federal agent sucked up in City Life. They both cross paths when Mia's husband Daniel Betts is missing in am embassy attack and she is on the run whereas Greyson was delivering some Intel to CIA. Later on Greyson being incharge of keeping an eye on Mia , Mia in search of answers for her missing husband meddle in to the deep secrets of the federal society involving the FBI , CIA.
The book is written from both Greyson's and Mia' s POV , very easy read. I liked how the author build up the story , explained the each character and their nativity so well. Personally I loved the character Joni (16year old daughter of Greyson), so full of spirit, fearlessness, always up for adventure.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Complicated Strangers .
Miakoda was banned from her Navajo Nation five years ago after she married Daniel a white man . Daniel works as an attorney for Jag Corps and went to Brazil . Mia stayed in the US after accusing him of cheating .. The Brazil embassy was attacked and Daniel went missing . Daniel always told Mia if anything ever happened to him to leave their home and head west . As Mia was driving she stopped at a rest area. She found herself and an army veteran Greyson in danger from a gang so she took him with her . Greyson realizes something is going on when guys in suits keep appearing when they make stops on their travels . Soon danger is every where . The government agency think Mia has information Daniel got that could destroy lives . Grayson and Mia grow closer on their journey that's full of secrets, betrayal and danger . This story is full of suspense and intrigue a very intense and action packed story . I really enjoyed reading . I highly recommend taking the time to read.

Thrilling, suspenseful, mysterious with passion and poignant moments
I could not stop reading this book! This author is new to me and the story is unique. It takes place around a Native American Navajo woman, Miakoda Betts, née Miakoda Blue Sky Nez. She married a “white man” and has been shunned by her tribe. Things have not been good between her husband, Daniel Betts and her but she hopes when he returns from Brazil, they can fix things. Then, she sees that the Embassy in Brazil where Daniel had been stationed as a JAG Corps officer had been attacked! She finds out that he has been abducted. And then, things start getting squirrelly. Strange people want her to give them something that supposedly Daniel had. Black cars with black tinted windows are following her. Coincidentally, her path crosses Cash Andrews Greyson aka Greyson who himself is a courier for the FBI. On an entirely different assignment, his contact’s cover is blown and so Greyson must convey his information directly to the FBI. But, then he meets Miakoda and his life will change if not end with the tortuous predicament they are thrown into. Greyson has powerful parents and their associations may be dangerous to Mia, Greyson and Joni, his teenage daughter.
Oh. My. Word. This was one suspenseful book with wonderful characters fighting against a shadow operation within the government. Who can they trust? Don’t get your panties in a twist but there will be cheating. Didn’t bother me in the least. Consider the circumstances. This was a well-written, fast-paced romantic thriller.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Keystone Kops

An international conspiracy involving both the CIA and the FBI as well as some mafia-style grandfathers (and a kooky mother), the trigger-happy sixteen year-old character seems to be the most competent one of them all. Tons of testosterone in the air: ‘Young roosters like to crow 'til they meet a bull.’ Yeah, okay, dude. The author took me on a journey through some of my old stompin’ grounds from adolescence and young adulthood.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Mystery, romance, drama combine with Native American beliefs is a winning combination. Mia has a mystery to solve. Grayson has more then one job to do while falling in love with Mia. Story kept my interest and is well written and edited. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
