Champion surfer, Nikki Young hasn’t ventured into the ocean since almost drowning a year ago.

When she flies to Hawaii during her Christmas vacation to compete in a video contest showcasing the scenic shores, she hopes her fear of the ocean won't ruin her chances. Winning the prize money would enable her to fulfill her dream of owning her own physical therapy office.

When a fourteen-year-old matchmaker introduces Nikki and Julian, they recognize each other from high school and a spark ignites. Nikki offers her therapeutic expertise to her former high school crush, and in return, Julian guides her to the most picturesque locations for her film.
