Three women are thrust into conspiracies involving stolen land, international espionage, and military cover-ups — where allies can’t be trusted, love complicates everything, and uncovering the truth is the only way out alive

Three suspenseful twisty stories revolving around family secrets and intriguing mysteries.

Book One: Hunting For Blue -

A deceased brother. A grieving sister. And the deadly secrets he left behind.

After Simone's brother Calvin dies suspiciously in an accident, she learns the deed to disputed property is in her name, thrusting her into a family feud going back generations.

Despite her unrequited love, Simone turns to her brother's best friend Nash for help. Together, they work to uncover Calvin's secrets. As threats turn into attempts on her life, she discovers no one is who they seem, including Nash and her parents.

Struggling to maintain her wits, Simone forges on, seeking answers. If she can’t unravel Calvin's past, she won’t survive her future.

Book Two: Complicated Strangers

Three government agencies. Secrets of a missing husband. And one woman to find their connection.

When Miakoda Nez's husband goes missing after a terrorist attack at the US Embassy in Brazil, she heeds his cryptic instructions to pack up and run. Throwing clothes and a gun in her suitcase, she heads out on a familiar route they'd taken many times. But everywhere she looks, someone is watching.

Disguised as a homeless veteran, FBI agent Greyson waits at a rest stop for his contact, but when a gang of thugs threaten Miakoda, he jumps to her rescue, and they escape in her car. Once on the road together, Greyson gets contacted by his boss and given a new assignment: keep his eye on Miakoda and report her location daily.

As Miakoda follows clues her husband left to a secret project, she becomes embroiled in deep international intrigue involving the CIA, FBI, and the American President.

Miakoda hires Greyson to be her bodyguard, but his duty to his family and government conflict with his growing love of the Navajo beauty as he plays double agent.

Will she be able to evade the government's long reach as she follows her husband's evidence trail?

Book Three: Rescuing Freedom

United by fate and a common quest for justice, four people battle for their freedom.

When they find their cheating husbands plotting against them, Freesia Hollister and her friend Iris Simmons' lives implode. Receiving unexpected help from two Special Force veterans traveling in a motorhome, the four begin a suspenseful adventure in Rocky Mountain National Park. But trouble soon follows.

Coming to the rescue of the two ladies adds additional obstacles to the veteran's mission of searching for a MIA soldier from their platoon hiding at the park. With government agencies also searching for their friend, the race to find him begins.

As helicopters hover and government agents go rogue, these four are determined to shield the innocent and bring the guilty to justice.

What Readers Are Saying

Jumping Into Fire

I spent most of my adult life jumping into the fire, not as a smoke jumper, but as an agent working for one of those government agencies that does not exist, going places and doing things that we cannot talk about. I am not easily impressed and can be hard on writers who do not have a clue about what they are writing about.

Ellis may never have been a “smoke eater,” been in a drive-by shooting, or in a hostage situation, but she gets it right. She has done her research, maybe even interviewing people who have been there and done that. Her story ran true.

Jumping Into Fire is an action thriller with a touch of romance. The characters that she created for this short story—Melissa, Ryan, Logan, and Maria—have many stories to tell.

I think Ellis can expand Jumping Into Fire and turn it into a series prequel. It would be exciting to see the characters develop further and explore more of the world that has been introduced. I am sure many readers would be eager to continue following the story and seeing where it leads. I, for one, would love to read that series.

Granted

The conclusion to the Grant saga has come and it was worth the wait. This time, Maze is the feature and she is familiar to any who have read this crime family series. Now the family wants to ruin her life over something that is first mentioned in book one.

The familiar characters and bad pennies show up again. We have plenty of Quinn and Barrett in this work.

In this book, Maze finally gets on the right side of everything and exemplifies how a strong female good person can overcome the bad in life. A strong vindication in the power of a good person over evil.

This book is the fine conclusion to a powerful three-part series. If you have been a fan of this family since the start, you will love this book. If you just love Quinn and Barrett, you will enjoy this book. A solid addition to a great series that will not disappoint.
